An ever popular feature of the conference are the Masterclass & Breakaway Sessions run alongside the main conference programme. This year we are offering four events, including the Trauma, Transfusion & Haemostasis Research Symposium, chaired by Professor Karim Brohi and Core Topics in Trauma, which is aimed at junior doctors, nurses, paramedics and medical students. In addition there will be two free events: a Stand up Science evening where short oral presentations will be made without the use of powerpoint to a lively audience and a trauma simulation demonstration. Places at these sessions are limited so early booking is advisable.
Simulation in Trauma
9th December 2009
As technology advances, so do the possibilities of realistic healthcare training through the use of patient simulation.
Synonymous with simulation training since the launch of Resusci Anne in 1960, Laerdal Medical has been an integral part of the development and growth of this training methodology in healthcare education around the world. SimMan 3G - the company's latest innovation, exemplifies the benefits of simulation training and clearly demonstrates why patient simulation is becoming recognized as an important part of establishing safer clinical practice.
Please take the opportunity to come along to workshops to see just how SimMan 3G can be used for trauma training.
This Laerdal sponsored workshop will be running throughout the Lunch and the morning and afternoon coffee breaks on 9th December.
